Hunger Games: The Remaining District Tributes

So with the Mother's Daymy sister's birthdaybaseball and then my birthday, I have fallen a little behind on the Hunger Games movie cast blog.  Today, that all changes.  We've already covered Districts 1 and 11 and District 3 so here are the remaining districts:

District 2 Girl Tribute - Clove:  Isabelle Fuhrman
Clove is an expert knife thrower.  She is the tribute who makes the first kill in the arena--pegging the boy tribute from District 9 in the back as he's running for Katniss.  She eventually dies by Thresh's hand.
Don't recognize Isabelle??  Remember that movie Orphan???  I thought so.

District 2 Boy Tribute - Cato: Alexander Ludwig
Cato is one of the main antagonists and is described as nasty, mean, unrelenting and used brute strength for most everything.  Cato hears Clove's screams for help right before she is killed by Thresh.  After that, Cato and Thresh run into the woods, where it is presumed that Cato kills Thresh.  That leaves Katniss, Peeta and Cato.  The mutations are released and gnaw on Cato before Katniss puts him out of his misery with an arrow to the head.  As for Alexander, to date, he's been in a string of remakes and sequels (boo) such as, Air Bud 3, The Sandlot: Heading Home and The Seeker: The Dark is Rising.  As you may have guessed, I have not seen any of his work so far.  The Hunger Games movie will be one of his first with no semicolon.  We all have to start somewhere I suppose.  He is six feet tall so he can probably pull off the "brute strength" part.

District 4 Girl Tribute:  Tara Macken
The unnamed District 4 Tribute girl is killed along with Glimmer after being stung to death when Katniss cuts down the Trackerjacker nest and drops it out of a tree.  Tara seems very accomplished as both an actress and a stunt woman.  Having become an "outdoor junkie" while living in Borneo, she climbed, flipped and swung through the jungles.  Also, she was born in a car in Kuwait.  It's kind of a shame she has such a small role.

District 4 Boy Tribute:  Ethan Jamieson
This tribute is another we will unfortunately lose at the Cornucopia....but he will return as a mutant wolf. Ethan was once on the show One Tree Hill.  I automatically feel sad for him.

District 5 Girl Tribute - Foxface:  Jacqueline Emerson
Foxface is one of the most elusive and notorious Tributes in the games.  She's cunning and clever and her biggest asset is her stealth.  She survives in the games by stealing food from others until she makes the fatal mistake of stealing the Nightlock berries from Peeta and unknowingly eating them.  Jacqueline is a relative newcomer and this is a pivotal role.  May the odds be ever in her favor.

District 5 Boy Tribute:  Chris Mark
Not much is said about Foxface's District 5 counterpart.  I'm going to go out on a limb and say he dies at the Cornucopia but I honestly can't remember.  Chris, like Tara Macken, is highly skilled in stunts and has been a stunt double in a variety of movies.

District 6 Girl Tribute:  Kara Petersen
Both tributes from District 6 are unnamed and small parts.  Adding to the pattern of "unknown stunt doubles" is Kara.  Her most recent work being the much talked about Super 8.  The Hunger Games movie will be her first acting endeavor.  She reminds me of Millicent Torkelson on the obnoxious show The Torkelsons.

District 6 Boy Tribute:  Ashton Moio
Ashton has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and, you guessed it, has been a stunt double in a number of movies and shows, including Let Me In, Charlie Wilson's War, Everybody Hates Chris, Red Riding Hood and The Longest Yard.

District 7 Girl Tribute:  Leigha Hancock
Almost nothing is known of District 7 other than their main industry is lumber.  The tributes from District 7 are a couple more no names.  Though Leigha doesn't have an IMDB profile, I did find that she is or was a competitive gymnast.  Click here to see her stunt reel.  It's very good!!

District 7 Boy Tribute:  Sam Ly
About all I could find on Sam is that he's a pint size Virgo who had a role in Tremors 4: The Legend Begins.

District 8 Girl Tribute:  Mackenzie Lintz
The District 8 Girl Tribute battles at the Cornucopia but attains only meager supplies.  She starts a fire early in the morning of day 2 in the arena and Cato arrives to kill her and then leaves, thinking she's dead.  After much arguing, between Cato and Peeta, Peeta is sent to make sure she is dead and finishes her off.  To learn more about Mackenzie or the other "Lintz Kids" check out this highly exploitive website.

District 8 Boy Tribute:  Samuel Tan
Couldn't find......anything about Samuel Tran.

District 9 Girl Tribute:  Annie Thurman
This tribute dies on the first day of the 74th Hunger Games.  Annie is another new comer but is a non-stunt person.  I love her red hair!

District 9 Boy Tribute:  Imanol Yepez-Frias
Just like the Girl Tribute from District 9, The Boy Tribute dies on the first day of the games as well.  Imanol doesn't have an IMDB page that I could find.

District 10 Girl Tribute:  Dakota Hood
This tribute dies on the first day of the games.  Dakota has played "Newley" in something called Scripture Cake: A Southern Cuisine Movie.  She reminds me of someone I refer to as Bad Allie.

District 10 Boy Tribute:  Jeremy Marinas
This tribute was referred to as "the boy with the injured foot."  He lasted a little longer than the girl from his district but eventually dies as well.  Jeremy is another stuntman.  He has been a stunt performer in Community, The Expendables and The Green Hornet.

Stay tuned for the remaining character castings!
